Course Duration & Online Support

Students may register at any time and have a full year to complete the PC Technology Course. You also have access to a personal tutor by mail or email for the 12 month period. The A+ Certification course is a one-year license from when you activate your code and is designed as a self-study course, and email support is available when required. The license needs to be activated within 12 months of purchase. As the home study courses are self study you can complete in as little or as long a time as you prefer, and we do not impose a cut-off date for study.

Assessment

The PC Technology Course is assessed through coursework which is detailed in the course materials.

The A+ Certification assessment is through the A+ Certification 220-1001 and 220-1002 Examinations. Each examination is 90 minutes in length and has a maximum of 90 questions. The questions are set in a multiple choice (single and multiple response), drag and drop and performance-based format.

Open Awards Certification (PC Technology Course)

Open Awards

On successful completion of this course students will receive our PC Technology Diploma with comprehensive feedback, and providing the assignments have been completed to the required standard, students will also receive the Understanding PC Technology Level 3 Open Awards Quality Endorsed Unit Course Certificate with 8 Open Awards Credits.

The completion of this course alone does not lead to an Ofqual regulated qualification but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills towards regulated qualifications in the future. To this end the learning outcomes of the course have been benchmarked at Level 3 against level descriptors published by Ofqual, to indicate the depth of study and level of difficulty involved in successful completion by the learner.
